The Professional Tutoring Certificate
Our entry level qualification assesses an applicant's proficiency in the mechanics of tuition. Tutors who pass the PTC will have an understanding of the elements which contribute to an effective one-to-one lesson, and will be able to ultilise those elements to a high degree.
The assessment consists of a 15 minute lesson where the tutor teaches a lesson of his/her choosing to the assessor. The assessment takes place online or in a quiet public area which has been deemed suitable for tutoring. The fee is £28.95.
